How high should wall sconces be mounted?

Answered By Indy Clasby, Editor

It should greatly depend on the height of a room. However, it should not be lower than an average eye height in order for someone not to see the bulb in the sconce. This usually set the mounting area of the sconce at 80 inches. If you want something higher than this, it would still be tolerable just make sure that the ceiling is not very close.
